On May 12th, 2011 once again a historic date was made in Street Pressure History and Hip Hop Culture. Street Pressure in association with the sneaker gods, and Rif L.A. hosted an event with future hip hop star, Kendrick Lamar. The future king of lyricism received a major nod of validation from the Street Pressure Network. The Street Pressure Network is known for forecasting the future.
The event took place at club 740 in Downtown Los Angeles on May 12th, 2011. At the time of the event Kendrick Lamar had just released the song Hiii Power on April 12, 2011 and the event was two months before he released the critically acclaimed album, Section 80 on July 2, 2011. . Kendrick was known by real hip hop heads for his mixed tapes, Youngest head nigga in charge and Overly Dedicated, The event was before the Aftermath, Interscope, and TDE trifecta combined their forces with Kendrick to become one of the most celebrated artist in the history of hip hop.
