The Alexandria House was started in 1996 to help women and children as they move from “emergency shelters to economic stability and permanent housing. These years are critical in any child and their parent’s life. Homelessness and poverty run rampant in too many communities around the world and the U.S. is no different. As the wealth gap increases, a whole generation of youngsters face harsh survival realities every day. That is the divine purpose of places like the “Alexandria House” and others like it. Many families can testify about the impact of the “Alexandria House”. This Los Angeles non-profit offers programs such as financial literacy and counseling.
