“Friends of Nahsha have updated this website and our GoFundMe page for the purpose of raising money for the daily care and intensive rehabilitation of Sharon Wachuka, who suffered a brutal attack in 2021 that left her with severe physical and neurological injuries. This effort represents a new phase of fundraising following our successful campaign in 2021. That campaign enabled Sharon’s mother Veronica to afford life-saving medical help in Kenya, where the attack occurred, and to transport her back to the US in late September. Sharon and Veronica are deeply grateful to all of you who contributed to that crucial effort, which raised around $130,000 across multiple giving platforms.
Since returning to the Bay Area, Sharon has made steady progress during the early stages of rehab. However, financial support over the next couple of years is needed to enable her to achieve a full recovery.
